PARIMAL - The Pracademic Action Research Initiative (with) Multidisciplinary Approach Lab
PARIMAL is more than a laboratory; it's a dynamic force driving transformation through the rigorous process of working, testing, evaluating, experimenting, and incorporating change based on evidence. Our research paradigm centers around action research methodologies, blending both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
Methodological Framework
Diagnosing and identifying field or practice-based problems. Testing against established reform mandates or innovative approaches. Action planning with consideration of alternative courses of action.
Participative and Collaborative Research
Involves practitioners and academics in evidence-based reform strategies. Specialization in Evidence-Based Policing.
Implementation and Evaluation
Translating action plans into field-based action or practice. Commencing evaluation on 'what' and 'how' of practice and outcomes achieved. Evidence-Based learning utilized for incorporating change and policy-based output.
Establishment and Collaboration
Located in the MP Police through DG's Research and Policy Cell (DGRPC). Collaboration with Research Organizations, Think Tanks, and Policy-based Institutes. Incubation center at MP Police Academy.
